| Physical Description | Elara’s most striking feature are her eyes; a part of her that can’t be hidden due to their very light colouring which waver from a light blue to a bluey green depending on her mood. Her skin tone is also pale grey; a leftover effect from when she had been a Borg. She also has a scar above her right eye from the removal of the borg implants. Upon initial engagement Elara can come across quite plainly. Her body is often clothed in heavy baggy clothes off duty, a result of feeling colder than her surroundings due to her deassimulated status. The bagginess also helps with the claustrophobia felt when tight clothes give her similar sensations to when she was a Borg. Her uniform has been adapted with a jacket she wears and also a wider collar to prevent the tightness of the turtleneck constricting. At times her movements can appear stiff. An awkard twitch in her hand, a slight limp in her left leg; all lingering effects from the implants and nanites which were removed and powered down after deassimilation. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Since her deassimulation, Elara has become a different person of sorts. She struggled with integration back into society, often finding it hard to make friends, as social situations can make her feel uncomfortable. Elara can often finds herself stuck inside of her head; just to internal voices rather than external. She also struggles with her own body and the changes inflicted from the time of being a Borg. From the paler skin, to components that couldn't be removed, right down to increased noise sensitivity, Elara struggles to readjust to life after being a Borg. Due to the prolonged period of time in having been a Borg, memories of who Elara was before were difficult to come by at times, replaced instead with the time of having been a Borg. While she has flashes of memories, these are often accompanied by headaches as the borg technology remaining seems to fight back. She also experiences nightmares as the worst memories of her time on the cube often push through her unconscious mind. Her family has tried to fill in the gaps, but it’s hard to associate with a life you had before when you feel like a completely different person. Elara has a disassociation with technology, still uncertain of it, when she knows its true capability. As a result, she will be found with a stylus and PADD, taking notes, preferring the control that holding a solid object offers over trying to tap away on a screen. |
