Mission: Episode 1: The Fissure
Posted on Mon Sep 14th, 2026 @ 1:00am by Captain Jaro & Lieutenant Elara PsyD
Jaro’s face remained entirely open, showing not a trace of offense or displeasure as her momentary flash of agitation washed over him. As a Denobulan, he viewed emotional candor as an essential mechanism of healthy community, and as a Captain, he recognized the sheer exhaustion weighing on his Counselor's shoulders.
"Thank you, Counselor," Jaro said quietly, his voice carrying a deep, unvarnished sincerity. "I appreciate the exhaustive, grueling hours you’ve spent with Ensign Claude, and the consultations you’ve had. As for transwarp... The truth is, we know precious little about transwarp corridors, let alone what effect it might have on…

Mission: Episode 1: The Fissure
Posted on Sat Sep 12th, 2026 @ 6:41am by Captain Jaro & Lieutenant Elara PsyD
Jaro listened intently, his chin resting slightly in his hand as he weighed the depth of Elara’s empathy. The ruffled lace of his jabot shifted slightly with his breath. Her desire to bestow the lad with purpose was noble—and, from a therapeutic standpoint, entirely sound. But the reality of commanding a starship was far less forgiving. After all the uncaring physics of deep space did not concern themselves with such notions.
"Purpose and reason," Jaro repeated softly. He leaned back in his chair, a look of contemplation crossing his features. "An excellent strategy, Counselor. But a Starfleet vessel is an…

Clasping her cup a little tighter, Elara looked down into her beverage. Her conversation with Dr. Verti still played on her mind but at the end of the day, no matter the why; the person themselves still mattered. "I'm genuinely not sure. At the days have passed since the transwarp, the symptoms seems to have lessened but Claude remembers everything that happened which is more concerning. He's psychologically scarred because he knows the danger his actions posed."
A flicker of emotion passed over Elara's eyes as she glanced back up at the Captain. "That's where my biggest worry lies. While…

Mission: Episode 1: The Fissure
Posted on Mon Sep 7th, 2026 @ 12:34pm by Captain Jaro & Lieutenant Elara PsyD
Elara couldn't help the slight smile as she took in the Captain. His choatic situation with his arrival and atire was a welcome distraction to where her thoughts had found herself. She guessed some people called it returning back to the ground with a bang...she had begun to understand what it meant.
"Cardassian pear nectar? I have to say I am unsure I have heard of that one?" Elara took the offered seat, straightening her jacket in an uncharcteristic move as she attempted to keep herself from being idle and her thoughts drifting again; the stars outside continuing to call…

Mission: Episode 1: The Fissure
Posted on Sun Sep 6th, 2026 @ 7:41am by Captain Jaro & Lieutenant Elara PsyD
Elara stood with her back to the Captain's ready room; her eyes on the sight of the stars as they streaked pass the window outside. The memory of the station still haunted her each time she closed her eyes. The memories of the screams as aliens were caught and assimilated by the borg, hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands. While she could never remember faces, their voices in the forms of screams had never left her since she returned to the world she had been born into.
Men, women, babies, children...the Borg had never discriminated based on sex or age; their…
