Episode 1: The Fissure

Fresh from its arrivalin the Delta Quadrant, the USS Amazônia is dispatched to investigate a faint sub-quantum signal emanating from the remote Orellia System. Hidden within the turbulent upper atmosphere of the gas giant Orellia IV lies a mysterious atmospheric anomaly revered by the native inhabitants as a divine phenomenon and anchor of their pre-warp civilization.

What begins as a routine investigation soon becomes a race to prevent a catastrophe that could spread far beyond a single world.

Episode 0: 48 Hours and Counting

The Amazônia currently sits at the precipice of departing for the Delta Quadrant. Having been delayed by supply shortage of a critical part while the rest of Task Force Bridgehead moved ahead, the crew now faces a rigid forty-eight-hour countdown to integrate the new hardware with the ship's systems. This shakedown is a race against the clock because the SS Charon opens the transwarp connection to Vanguard station only on a fixed schedule; missing this window would mean being left behind in the Alpha Quadrant for nearly another month while the rest of the Task Force remains down one of it’s primary vessels at Vanguard Station. The presence of the SS Charon readying for transwarp operation serves as a looming reminder that once the jump is made, the safety of Federation space is gone and their return not guaranteed.

Despite this frantic backdrop, the prologue serves as an open playground for the crew to establish their characters and build relationships before the mission truly begins. There is no OOC rush for the writers; the ticking clock is a narrative tool to spark interaction rather than a pressure to conclude your character development. This is your time to explore the Amazônia while she is still moored to the station in Federation Space, to find your character's voice and to socialize before the real adventure begins.
