Mission: Episode 1: The Fissure
Posted on Tue Jul 14th, 2026 @ 2:13pm by Lieutenant Elara PsyD & Lieutenant Noxe (Cogenitor 125) Tome

Noxe was nervous, as she usually was before she saw the Counselor. Normally, she'd have seen the one that Starfleet had assigned to her after the Frontier Day events, and then again after the loss of the Pegnitz, and her friends and crew there. She left her quarters after having used the restroom after meeting with Captain Jaro. She had also changed her clothes so she would be more comfortable; jeans, a pink sweater, and sneakers. Simple but comfy and she could also go to the Lounge for dinner after. As she made her way down the hall to the…

Mission: Episode 1: The Fissure
Posted on Tue Jul 7th, 2026 @ 7:25am by Lieutenant Commander Riaani ek'Meru

"I still can't believe you're going."

By standards as-yet unknown, the senior officer quarters aboard the Letha were comparatively compact. Of course, the ship itself defied certain outside expectations by being a flagship that housed a modest crew compliment of 35. Leadership on Oshaal had never prioritised quantity over quality, not when it lead to unnecessary expenditure. The fleet had larger vessels; some tasks required a more multi-faceted approach and those responsible for the longer-ranged ventures with extended deployment timetables naturally relied on a larger resource pool. The OSV Letha's primary role was to gather experienced brilliance, arm it with…

Mission: Episode 1: The Fissure
Posted on Tue Jul 7th, 2026 @ 3:12am by Captain Jaro & Lieutenant Harinarayani Khatri

Jaro’s soft, melodic laugh was instant and completely devoid of defensive posturing. He met her dry sympathy with an appreciative nod, adjusting the cuffs of his sleeves with a slow neatness.

"They certainly have their work cut out for them, but making allies—finding the hand extended in peace and holding onto it—is our primary mandate out here in the Delta Quadrant. The alternative is a very cold, very lonely isolation. Those are our orders, Lieutenant. And honestly, I would not have it any other way. Trust is a terrifying currency, but it is the only one that buys a lasting…

Mission: Episode 1: The Fissure
Posted on Mon Jul 6th, 2026 @ 6:07am by Captain Jaro & Lieutenant Harinarayani Khatri

It would have taken more willpower than even Raya possessed to resist the urge to raise an eyebrow. On the face of it, the premise wasn't very surprising. Starfleet had made it very clear that this entire enterprise was far more than an isolated venture just to 'take a peek'. Expansion, dressed up as exploration, had a swathe of meritorious excuses that eventually all culminated in a pretty simple understanding; the Federation was better served by a proactive approach rather than sitting around waiting for the Delta Quadrant to take fresh interest. What did strike her as bold was allowing…

Mission: Episode 1: The Fissure
Posted on Sun Jul 5th, 2026 @ 10:27am by Captain Jaro & Lieutenant Harinarayani Khatri

The initial response was an unflinching, concentrated stare that shifted only after a few silent seconds had passed and Raya, having rounded the console to consider her lateset failure from a different angle, adjusted her focus just specifically enough to switch between the jagged cross-sections of compromised plot points and Jaro's expression. Seen through the slight distortion of the holographic dead-space, it was tempting to accuse the man of mocking her. Another glance back at her current botched data-set reminded Raya that any ridicule was far less likely to come from within the crew, not when this particular part of…
